O2/AF Sensors could be recycled and get you paid!

O2/AF Sensors could be recycled and get you paid!

What do these sensors do?

All catalyst-equipped cars have at least one sensor in the exhaust system. This sensor is around the same size as your typical spark plug and it is located in the car engine’s exhaust stream. The O2/AF sensor sends feedback to the computer within the engine letting the vehicle know if any adjustments need to be made with the air-fuel ratio. In addition, the sensor could signal an alert if the emission output is too excessive.

What makes them valuable?

Most oxygen sensors carry a ceramic thimble with a thin layer of platinum and/or palladium on the inside or outside. The precious metals inside are a scarce earth element and retraction of them from end-of-life components like the O2 sensor creates value. Not only is it valuable to recycle for payment but it is essential to the overall health of the environment.

How you can make money with your O2/AF Sensors

Now that you understand what an O2/Af sensor does and why they possess value you can start making money recycling! You will want to save up your O2/AF sensors until you reach a desirable quantity. Keep in mind the price you get will reflect the current price of the precious metals so be strategic when you decide to sell. If you are a licensed business we at PGM Recovery Systems carry a patented process to recycle your O2/AF sensors and pay top pricing nationwide.
